COACH EDUCATION ATHLETE CONSTRUCTION workshops educate, motivate and inspire coaches to make a commitment to off-ice training. To be comfortable and effective with implementing off-ice training, coaches need a broad-based understanding of the physical and physiological demands of the game of hockey. They need an understanding of how specific aspects of athleticism can be improved off-ice to develop superior hockey athletes. Practically, coaches must to be able to: 1) Design and implement effective dynamic warm-ups 2) Teach basic movement mechanics 3) Develop age- and ability-appropriate core and resistance training workouts 4) Develop progressive, hockey-specific conditioning plans 5) Implement and analyze basic performance assessment (testing) protocols to evaluate athleticism ATHLETE CONSTRUCTION offers a variety of customizable coach education workshops. We come to your location to teach the essentials of off-ice training through classroom and hands-on learning. We use fun and effective methodologies and simple and inexpensive equipment. When it’s over coaches are prepared to safely and effectively implement the ATHLETE CONSTRUCTION training system.
